Experiencing repairing work of belt bucket elevator, our Repairing Team observed that when the belt was swayed a lot, it collided with the casing, causing rapid damage to the belt and adversely affecting the operation. The team tried to adjust the swayed belt in ways: following strictly the manufacturer's instructions, installing more guide rollers... but the results were still not satisfactory until they applied successfully self-aligning rollers. Using self-aligning rollers for belt conveyors is common, but not for belt bucket elevator yet.

How to select the structure, size of the roller and suitable position for installation and how to make it work effectively? The technical team of Mechanical Department has researched, designed and tested many times to create the complete roller model that is easy to fabricate and install, and simple to adjust when operating. Especially, there is no need for maintenance and repair during long-term operation.

The application of self- aligning rollers for the belt bucket elevator has increased the lifetime of the belt by at least 20% and the friction lining of drum by about 50% as well as ensuring stable operation of the belt, reducing repair and maintenance costs of equipment, contributing to reducing the overall cost of the product.
